Royal Marines on LSD!!!!

This is what happens, when you give some of the worlds elite soldiers LSD as part of a milltary test.

I find this very amusing, hope you all do too.

I remember seeing a documentary on US soldiers having tests with LSD, amongst other things, but I did not know the UK also did this…

Although the documentary was bloody amusing in parts, some of the dosages that were given to the soldiers were big (multiples of “tabs” worth).

Having done quite a bit of acid (as well as most other illicit drugs), I could not imagine how horrific multiple doses would have been for some of these people….. The multiples were massive in comparison to what a social user would take in a social situation…

Have to admit, it is quite amusing, but the dark side of it does question just how much of this shit was pumped into them and when did “the man” decided enough was enough?!

Troops have been pumped full of all sorts for a long time, and probably will till the end of time.

A very close and loyal pal of mine was in the first Gulf War. The Army pumped himself and his troops full of all sorts of weird stuff, the biggest one was Testosterone. Back then they did 9-12 month tours..........Can you imagine 9 months with your body on overload with testorone, seeing all the evils of war???!!! Its left scar's i can assure you. Then there was the anti biological weopon drugs, etc etc.

At 42 he has just been diognosed with parkinsons desiese, funnily enough 72% of soldiers serving in the first Gulf war from the army have had similar side affects. Yet the term "Gulf War Syndrome" is not medically recognised by the Army.

So...............a bit of LSD is nothing.

Think the worst bit is when you sign up you practically agree to be a guinea pig for them and that you absolve them of any blame afterwards.

I'm sure if they showed that at a recruitment fair, half the scrotes that hang around the streets of an evening would sign up.

Most of the scrouts on the streets wouldnt pass the exams for the Royal Marines. I struggled and id say im fairly normal with the brain cells.

The Army will take any one, no exams, not even a real fitness assesment any more.

Wow.... I was really unaware (ignorant infact) that the army does this sort of thing to their men... That is pretty fucked... if risking your life is not enough for them; they want you to risk your mind body and soul... that’s pretty fucked up...

A bit of LSD is nothing, it has no physical effect on you (unlike nerve gas), and in very rare cases causes any sort of mental problems.... Alcohol is much more destructive both physically and mentally than most of the drugs deemed too dangerous for us and made illegal to protect us from ourselves....

I do not take drugs anymore (except alcohol), and I do laugh at the hypocrisy of tobacco and alcohol being "acceptable and ok" when they are actually two of the worse....

At my work if you fail a drugs test you get sacked, in the Army they encourage it. To think I didn't bother trying for the Army wish I had now!

I don't see anything funny in this either. These men were experimented on and put at risk of long term health damage. LSD is not harmless. It can and does lead to long term psychosis in some people. Personally I don't care if "recreational" drug users want to risk their health and life because they think it is cool to get high, but when people are recruited into these kind of experiments without any warning of the long term risks, it is extremely messed up. I am astonished people actually find it funny.

So giving some one LSD is awful, yet sending them to war isnt?........Im losing the point here.

And they are Marines. NOT Army!
