[drools]
There's a place near me that does the worlds best salt and pepper chips; regular, thick cut chippy chips that are wok'd in chinese spices, onions and chillis...
This served with a portion of deep fried crispy beef in a sticky, hot and plum sauce...
<Bad Language Removed>You know I'll have to get this tonight now! Hate you all...

I prefer Indian take-aways.
I've spent too much time working in China and the Chinese food in the UK is just a big let-down by comparison, so I almost never eat Chinese take-aways nowadays.
Saying that, I do like chinese curry sauce (with chips ) and I love mushroom foo young (also nice with chips and curry sauce).
Otherwise, beef with green peppers and black bean sauce is OK and egg-fried rice is good. I quite like the deep fried crispy pork balls. Oh and spring rolls and prawn crackers (with curry sauce of course)
Most of it has only a passing resemblence to proper Chinese food though.

I get the feeling crispy fried shredded beef is a firm favourite amongst forumites!
