I agree with everyone else Trinity. You health has to come first .... especially if you want to keep on running. Carrying heavy boxes following surgery is never going to do you any good!

How tedious is tedious? Could you maybe do extra stuff, or do it in a way that's not boring? If the new job has to be dull, then look at the money and hours & decide if you want to take it anyway; sounds like quite a good bet to me Better terms, plus you really don't want to damage your neck lifting boxes.

I'd be tempted by the benefits of all them early finishes, Trin. well done btw Usually, the first thing I think of when I wake up on a day when I am running is what time I will do it. My work hours are all over the place and it's often frustrating being stuck in work late when you I know there's running to do. As far as your current job goes, well, I'm sure you'll miss elements of it but you'll always wonder 'what if?', if you don't take the new offer and you'll probably be reminded every other day of why you applied for the other job in the first place. Anyway, my original point was that finishing early every day to do what you love most seems like the perfect work/life balance, to use a modern cliche. Good luck, whatever you decide

Well, I got the proposal/contract through the post today and it does sound quite inviting. In the short term it's going to be quite tedious but if I think long term, there are more opportunities if I take this job rather than stay where I am.

Plus, like peeps have said, the hours are good and will give me time to train during the day.

So I think I will take it.

I still have to talk to my current boss yet though... and give in my notice

I'm having a week to myself next month before I start my new job. Going to be pure bliss, no kids, no hubby bring it on!!!

Tedious or not, I'd go for the new job, especially if the current one is affecting your health. Add in the benefits, eg hours and holidays, and the new job looks even better.

My job is tedious at the best of times, but the benefits make it worthwhile for me to stay (for the time being!).

Go for it!
