No subtitles, it was about Ben Kingsley as a commitment-phobic Uni lecturer who falls in love with a much-younger student (Penelope Cruz) and becomes slightly obsessed with her. I'd give it 7 out of ten. I'd say it was about as mainstream as you can get without the Odeon wanting to show it!

Hellboy 2 - was very disappointed, too much romantic crap
probably cost ~£10 as I was good and only had popcorn (and not a hotdog & drink & sweeties )

I've just clicked the link- to be honest, it makes less sense than the French Belgian company registration document I'm currently translating! (see also: 20 signs you're getting older)

The joys of self-employment! Even taking the petrol into account, that's cheaper than Harrogate Odeon at about £7.50, and which only shows mainstream crap anyway. We parked on-street for free. Usually try and make it there once every couple of months- depends on workload!

How old is OH? I thought you had to show your bus pass or pension book to get into those showings
I wonder if any old person has 'passed away' during pensioners film time

Nah, the cinema are fine with it! Some of the old dears do tut when they see us roll up though. (I'm 34 and he's... older than that, but still not old enough!)
None of them have ever popped off when I've been there, touch wood, but it's got to be a worry- especially when they show the more, erm, "arthouse" films, like Lust, Caution...!

Have to answer this question because I haven't been for years.
Last film I saw at the cinema was Jurassic Park (the first one), when I was 14, that was 15 years ago. I hate the cinema!! Rather watch a film in the comfort of my own house, plus I can wear what I want and have a beer as well!

I don't want to go off topic either, people can also PM me if they want to know how torrents are basically used for theft/piracy and how this can impact upon small internet businesses like the one I run (but don't know for how much longer, since so many people think it's cool to download stuff without paying the people who made/distribute it)
