Arghhhhh

Tiscali have just called. There is a complete blockage on my line (and other customers, like I care about them) and it could take up to another week to get it fixed

No broadband, slow GSM connection to get on here. I can't cope like this.

At least they called you to keep you up to date. In my work, they have a bad habit of sending out emails to tell you the email server is down!

At least you have a GSM connection - think how badly you'd cope without that.

Leaves more time for running though.

They only update me because I had such a row with them. If they had actioned it when I reported it then it would be fixed by now but it took 5 days to speak to a second line engineer.

I can't run more, I am at the limit of my fitness currently, any more risks injury. I am having to talk to Mrs Hrun as a last resort

1st time in 3 years I have ever dropped a connection. As usual it is the rules they have to abide by that caused the hold up.

Also I have not found a better deal, including in their current offers. I will have another look after, but this could have happened with any provider and I am not trying to move in the middle of a fault fix. Can you imagine what would happen then.

What do you call a good deal? Just because something is the cheapest, does not mean its a good deal. What do you get for your deal and your money?

For 12.99 I get unlimited broadband. Not the fastest but fast enough for me. And until last week trouble free. And free weekend calls although we don't use the phone much.

I will bookmark you link and have a look once we are fixed. Thanks for that.

One of the things to look at though is that sometimes it can be too cheap.

It might work well for a while but as demonstrated here, when stuff goes wrong it takes an age to fix.

isp review is a good site for figuring out who offers what, and have reviews too. Tiscali come in at 21%.

It's Back

Finally I have my connection back and I am so happy. Only problem now is finding time to use it

I will have a good look at my options now, I fancy something faster if it can be got at a good price. Thanks for all the links folks.
