Steve,

To be honest I think opinions on this can only really come from fans for players at their own clubs, as it's only by being at the game you appreciate the running, particularly off the ball, that certain players do. So my input relates to Celtic, where since joining at the start of the season Kenny Miller never stops. Only played a couple of games, but Tommy Gravesen looks like challenging him. Systems probably come into it as well, eg Gordon Strachan likes his fullbacks to bomb forward and get crosses in, so those guys are gonig to cover some ditance too. Be interesting to get players in different roles wired up to see actual measurements.

But what you say about Beckham is interesting, because I would think 10K a high estimate (for any player) when you consider all the stop / start aspects over the 90 minutes (though I suppose all us footie fans could nominate our favourite 'headless chickens' from over the years who might come close !)
