Unless JJB, JD, Sports World have decided to start catering for runners as a separate offering?

Maybe Nick (Pearson) knows?

They are DEFINITELY not a Sweatshop offering (I work for Sweatshop).

The site looks very low grade, like its been put together by a teenager or some bloke who knows where to get free shopping cart software, so I doubt very much that its an offering from a major retailer who would have a dedicated web design team, or at least one person who is semi talented in designing...

Perhaps the simple design has been done on purpose. I would say with a name like Virgin Runner they are trying to either tempt beginners so keeping it simple. Or cash in on the virgin brand name (which I did wonder a when I first saw the name).

Looks like an attempt by Up and Running to compete with cheaper brandband sports shops like JJB and SportSworld and not interfere with the loyal Up and Running shop/web trade too much....

Anyone else got any ideas thoughts on this?

It will be interesting to see how long they are around before the real Virgin catch up with them and sue them for trademark infringement...

Just to agree with everyone else has been sauing

Wiggle are excellent.

Prices are generally good.
Service is quick.
On the one occasion they didn't send an item, they apologised and sent it to arrive next day.
And when we've returned things they've always just refunded the money.

I can confirm that its definitely not us (Sweatshop), I can't really comment on any other speculation.

I think Plain Lazy is right - They are backed by 'Up and Running' - they are definitely based in Yorkshire. I hope they do well as I like the look of the prices (but still like wiggle too!)

I've always had good and prompt service (but never sweets ) from Wiggle . .

and www.treadbear.co.uk often have good prices too, but perhaps a smaller range than some . .
