A New Sidebar
Personally I thought the sidebar was one of Dan's best ideas. And now it's gone *mourns the sidebar*
I'd like to create a new one and I want to put things on it that people would find geniunely useful. So this thread is about what you'd like on there.
I'm going to make the bar itself optional so you don't have to see it if you don't want, and each module will be optional so you can remove any bits that don't interest you.
My initial ideas are to have modules for the following:
- Unread posts count and related tools
- Subscribed threads - same as the
- Training blog stuff
Any thoughts on the above?
What would be most useful for you?

Perhaps it'd be safe to say that what wsa there before is a good starting point then if anyone thinks of anything that they'd like adding, we could take it from there? It seems odd not havign it there at the moment!

Just in case anyone missed this in the announcement..
Things like who's online are under the forums on the homepage.
The pace calcuator is on the navbar under "Other"
The top posters can be found by clicking the members list and the posts header to sort by posts.

How about a search forums dialog box? Think you can currently search in each forum but is it possible to search all forums?

On my list I have (in no particular order):
- Summary of your info, unread posts
- Training Blog summary & links
- Online Users
- Your online contacts and friends
- Top posters
- Pace calculator
- Search forums, search clubs, search races, search members
- Your subscribed threads
- Distance converter (km to miles to metres etc)
- Distance between two postcodes
My plan is to make the sidebar modular so you just show the modules relevant to you, and you can place them in any order. I'm also planning to allow of the sidebar, on the left, on the right, or both (1 sidebar per side)
