Thought of 3 things whilst out running tonight:
- where people enter distance and time - could automatically work out pace/mile
but now I can't remember the other two !
Must be old age!

I remembered one of the other ones.
I started putting my cycling in - but then found that on the forums it would look like I was doing 100+ miles a week.
Is there a way to keep track of other activities - but select a default activity (ie. running) where it only shows milage for that activity on your posts on the forums?

Aye, that does sound like a good idea... "Miles ran this week/year" rather than covered/completed (or whatever the term is? - damn this basic vbdefault setting i'm using )

We have Nike+ integrated now, but it would be good to get Garmin integration as well. I beleive there are API's available to access Garmin data...

Get Garmin integration onto the site and you'll be loved by all - forever. Worshipped as a god almost!

the training blog sounds like a cool thing!
where can i find it? i would love to have a look at it.
is it possible to integrate it with an existing blog at wordpress ( http://bigocycling.wordpress.com/)? it would be quite cool to be able to display some training information on my blog.
thanks in advance!

If you go to your user cp the training blog is the top two items in the list on the left.
At the moment there's no integration with wordpress or other blogs, but it's something that could perhaps be added later on.

seeing as there are a lot of people on here that use the garmin watches/ garming training center.. would it be possible to get the training blog to accept an export?
as far as i know the training center just outputs an XML file so should be fairly easy to parse

IIRC the only way the training centre can export the data is by detailing all points of each activity, which I'm guessing would mean files of a few MB? I've no idea how much scope there is for the forum to accept/process bigger files.
I heard fetch were trying to get Garmin to do something so training logs could be exported as 'summaries' of each workout rather than fully tracked GPS data. I don;t think they got very far though?
Does that make any sense?

doesn't motionbased have some software on your comp, and then stores everything online? So parses info before uploading it to the site? Hmmm, probably not since they offer all the same info that training centre does...
To be honest I've no idea... i'll shut up.
