Hi, I'm doing the Edinburgh marathon. Has anyone done this before?

Hi Julie Maz,

I did the Edinburgh marathon a couple of years ago, its a lovely one to do, very scenic but quite hilly.

I think that the course might of changed a bit since I did it as the last 3 miles were up hill but I think they have changed it now so good luck, just run it for yourself and enjoy it.

Im doing it this year..new course ..easier and more scenic..whats you expected time?

A man I know here in Lisbon will run it for the first time.
Can anyone update me on the course?
I checked the website and it seems very good but if anyone can give me a better insight I would appreciate

I did it a few years back.....it's the only race SWMBO has finished ahead of me !!!

Well :-
1. We'd planned to run together so that lost me time to start with!!
2. At that time I suffered from knee pain ..and it kicked in early..at about 12m
3. The knee pain resulted in me running in such a way as to deflect the injury...leading to a groin strain
4. I'd had flu...real flu not manflu... the week before.

SWMBO ran her pb...just over 4hrs knocking 1hr 25mins off her previous best time!! I hobbled in about 10 mins later. If I 'd not been ill and had stayed injury free I think SWMBO would have broken the magical 4hr barrier...so there was some silver lining for me!!!!!
