Well it was good to meet someone from the forum today

Mo, thanks for pacing me for the first 3 or 4 miles was a great help, stopped me from firing off to fast. Hope you get home safe and that you got a new PB!
Here is my report from the day
Arrived at 8:30 in Dundee to register, picked up my running chip and number and also made use of the safety pins that were provided, which I thought was a nice touch. Previous 1/2 marathons you have to supply your own.
Once I had collected my number I went back to the car and watched the rain pour down! Im glad I packed my black bin bag. Turned out I needed it.
9:00am went to the start line and did some gentle running to see how my knee was feeling, the good news is, it felt fine, there was a wee twinge but that soon settled down once I got moving.
I went and sheltered under a tree to try and keep as dry as I could and then about 10mins before the start I went on to the starting line.
About 5 mins before the start Mo came walking towards me and we got chatting, it was good to put a face to a name.
5.4.3.2.1 and we were off, nice easy pace round the park once and then out and heading for the finish line, Mo and I were chatting and keeping a good pace when about the 3.5 Miles mark Mo told me to just head on so we said cheerio and off I went.
It was a nice run along the coast of the River Tay and running round past HMS Discovery. About the 7 mile mark I got a second burst of energy and I picked up the pace just to hit the 10 mile mark with a hill! Where did that come from, Mo had warned me about the hill but I thought he said it was on the 11 mile marker, whoops!......I slowed down a gear and just plodded up the hill thinking to myself, what goes up, must come down and I was right, got to the top of the hill and the last 3 miles were near enough all down hill which was great, found one more bit of energy and went round the corner and I could see the finish....looked at my watch and put my best foot forward and kept on running, managed to squeeze my signature sprint to the finish in and I had done it!! 3 1/2 marathons and a full marathon in my first 7 months of running, whats even better is I have gone from 2hrs 15mins for the Edinburgh 1/2, 2 hours 1 min for Dunfermline and............................................... ...
.................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................
.............................................
1 hr 54mins for Dundee

Get in there!!! Got under the 2 hour mark

Very happy! This is just the time from my stopwatch but don't think it will be far off.
Really enjoyed the run today and I hope Mo came in for a new PB as well....thats again for the good pacing at the start, without that I might not have got my PB, I owe you a beer.
