Question new and in scotland

Hiya,

I have never found running easy and would like to change that so I can run in the morning with the dog. I have been trying to find a regime for starting up and struggling to know where to look. I work odd and long hours and am not really a group exerciser out of choice. Recently moved to midlothian so nice places to run . Any suggestions greatfully recieved.

sarah

where are you in midlothian sarah? i am in colinton and regularly run routes around the water of leith, pentland hills, union canal and around edinburgh.
if you are going to run in the mornings while it is still dark, please invest in high visibility wear (even if you are in the city). a running bib can cost as little as 6 pounds. if you are going to run off road it may also be worthwhile investing in a head torch, so that you can see the ground in front of you.
