Favorite Running Trainers

Just wondered what people's favorite trainers to run in are, my trainers of choice for running are Mizuno, I wear Wave Rider 12's for running outside and I recently also just got some Wave Rider 13's soley for use on the treadmill at home.

I have worn Adidas and Nike in the past for running but doubt I will move away from the Mizuno now personally.

I've recently started wearing Brooks Raveena after years of wearing Asics Cumulus.

Since the switch, my sore foot has cleared up and there isn't a twinge from my shins. Its amazing what a bit of extra cushioning can do.

NB for me, although I hate the way they have updated my 1062's with apparently a completely new last. I have a pair of the 1064's on order with my LRS and a pair of Lunarglides from JJB. Whichever wins will be my pavement pounder of choice

Asics DS Racer 7, and I love my lunaracers. Got lots of others but they are my favourite.

Same for me!

Not tried the 13's yet, but had 11's and 12's (x2). I normally get around 800miles from them (the 12's at least)!

I Love the Brooks range of Racer's.I have worn the T5, T6 & the ST3 versions. To be honuest I would train/Race in a racer form of trainer over all distances. As:-

1) Esp, With Brooks they are like slippers to wear!
2) They are very light therefore I feel I can "Run like a Deer" in them!
3) They have just the right amount of support so that you can even run a Marathon in them if you like...

Personally I feel It is up to the Indivdual with what meets their needs & suits you best, IE, For Comfort, Do you want a pair for just Training Or like I said before Or Racing?
I am currently wearing Adidas Adizero-Tempo as they are light, very comfy & fit like a glove!!

I agree rossco B. I love racers, since I started running in them I've felt much better, they suit me fine. I got a pair of adizero pro, mega light! Have my eye on a Nike pair, but I'm
not sure If they are a bit flash.

Hi Pindar,

I have just started trying out the Nike Range in my Training within the last year.
I think you will be safe enough with the Nike Pro as there should be a good bit of support with them. Though my only concern with Nike is just that.. the support! I have worn the Nike Lunaracer's previously and they only lasted me 5 Races max! Tho there wasn't much to them/in fact they were paper thin! And as a result I was left with a big hole in the side of them! Tho I did record my 10K PB in them from last year... (Perhaps going too fast in them!)
I also have a pair of Nike Air-Max Turbulence that I am training in and they have great support and are actually quite light for a more neutral shoe rather than a racer though again just as good.

Rossco

Are you maybe thinking of the Mayfly? It's designed for 100km only. The lunaracer is a much more
substantial shoe, with bouncy foam soles. Very light!

The nike pair I'm looking at next are these ones

http://sneakernews.com/2009/12/21/ni...dient-cheetah/

They are so cool, but maybe a bit too cool?

That said, I never normally wear trainers with a lot of support, and I'm quite careful about rotating them.

Mizuno wave ultima is the best pair of running shoes I've ever had. Adidas supernova glide is a close second!
