Someone has recommended Brooks Cascadia as an alternative to cross country spikes for my mud loving son this season, but I can't find them anywhere in a shop, only online.

Does anyone know of a retailer in the Manchester-ish area who have these in stock for him to try on. I've tried Sweatshop in Hyde and Up and Running in The Triangle.

Failing this, how these compare on sizing to other shoes? They all vary so much. He wears size 10 in Nike Air Structure Triax, size 10.5 in Zoom Rival spikes and 11 in Saucony Endorphin spikes, so I'm well and truly confused.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried foot traffic in Bolton? I'm suprise Sweatshop or Up and Running didn't offer to order a pair in for you to ry?

I tried Foot Traffic and they're not a Brooks stockist.

I rang Up and Running again and they'd just got a couple of pairs in stock but on trying them on my son didn't like them, the sole tread was quite poor.

Ended up buying a pair of Salomon Speed Cross which he loves. He's ran three off road races in them and they're great!
