Difference between asics 1150 and 1160?

Didn't really think to ask the bloke in the shop when I bought my new trainers today.

Wen t in with my 1150's just to show him the wear on the sole. He asked me how I had got on with them, fine I said, no problems at all.
So he recommended I stay with the same make and trainer as it would be silly to try something new if the 1150's had served me well. However he then said that asics had upgraded the 1150' to 1160 now, so I came away with a pair of 1160's for 70

Going to break them in over the next few weeks to see how I get on with them. Just a shame they are going to get dirty, they look so nice right now

How did you get on with the 1160s Jaime, are they much different to the 1150s, do they have slightly more support or cushioning than the 1150s?

They feel exactly the same actually. I can't say I have noticed any difference whatsoever.

I haven't worn my 1150's since I got my 1160's, but funny enough I washed them a couple of days back as they were caked in 5 month old mud. I am intending to do a run in them in some time this week to see if I notice a difference.

Ok that's cool, thanks for that I didn't think there would be much if any difference between the two

Just got a pair of these today having only had Mizuno Waves previously.

Looking forward to getting out and covering them in mud!
