I bought a new pair of socks yesterday and tried them on today... I wanted the same X-Socks as I already have, the 'run sky run' model... but they didn't have them at my local running shop so I got the X-Socks 'performance' model instead.

On trying them on today, I've realised they have the most stupid flap of material at the back which I can only assume is to help pulling the sock on? Though it looks more like some kind of pathetic sock 'spoiler' supposed to aid aerodynamics!

sigh......socks with spoilers holds head in hand and sighs again....
can i get a job with that company methinks i can come up with absolutely loads of completly and utterly useless ideas although a spoiler on a sock that takes a real talent. to not only come up with the idea, but to pitch it to the mareketing team, who in turn flog it to an unsupecting running community .

Now that's what i call talent.. id take my hat off to them if only my idea of sticking it to my head with superglue so that it didn't slip to a jaunty angle had been properly thought through>

I've got some of those socks... but the ladeee version

and acksherly that isn't a sock spoiler... silly, it's a very very important flap that helps to protect your achilles.

Don't ask me how because it's very scientifik innit... that's what the nice man said anyway

Lol, the nice man needs shooting, I've read the packaging and the grey thing underneath the flap is the Achilles Tendon Protector... the flappy flap flap is technically referred to as a "PullOn- NonSlip Flap".

How embarassing!!! Lol, I know I've got white gloves and flourescent trainers, but this is going to make me a laughing stock/sock.

I too have the x-socks sky run. Not too sure the "cooling channels" actualy do anything but they are close fitting and very comfortable to wear. Most importantly for me they are very hard wearing.
