Yes.
And although I hate to be serious about running-related stuff, I find it hard to believe that the extra money forked out is going to get you a shoe which performs any better than the cheaper models.
However, there is obviously a limit as to how
little you should pay for shoes (unless this "cheap" pair has been well discounted). Cheap running shoes are always going to be a false economy.
But I must also add that I'm speaking as someone who's never had to choose shoes on the basis that they should perform any "corrective/preventative" function. It's hard to say if my opinion would be different if I'd ever had to select trainers for those qualities.
