I've seen some of that too, I'd look the part even though I might not be able to go like the part. The shoes look quite high aswell, just a minor thing but might just be a visual thing to as they are fairly plain. Might give them a go next time.

My concern is that a good stability shoe was recommended together with inserts, possibly too much correction?
They use two pieces of wibbly plastic instead!!

Maybe there are other applications out there for wibbly plastic, I hope Mizuno have patent on it. I'm thinking I might change the Discos coil springs for wibbly plastic see how I get on. Not sure if my car pronates though.

I only recently started running properly (end of March 2008) I was running in some New Balance trainers (from JJB  ) I was finding in the beginning that I was getting pain to my left leg, about the shin area but on the inside. I went to a shop near me called sub 4 who specialise in biomechanics etc. They had this pad thingy (kind of like the ones you used to stand on when you were a kid when you were having shoes fitted) Anyway the pad changes colour with the heat of your feet and showed your footprint (a posher version of the wet foot test?!) I already knew that I was an overpronater and the man there recommended I go for stability shoes. I tried a few pairs on and in the end bought some Mizuno wave inspire 3's. I have to say, I love them! Since then I have had no shin pain at all! If anyone is in the midlands I would highly recommend Sub 4. They are in Stoke on Trent, they have a website too... worth a look
