Off Road Shoes ?

I have looking at Off Road or Trial shoes for the first time and need help.

What I need is something water-proof that is a stability shoe. As these would not be used for roads I don't want to pay much cash out. Would only be used every now and then.

The off road shoes I have looked at on the net don't say if they are a natural shoe / stability shoe etc. Are they all the same ?

Asics do a Goretex shoe but it is pricey.
Brooks Adrenaline ASR is as stable as the road version and has a wanganui upper which is water resistant.
Hope this helps.

Brooks Adrenaline ASR look just the job, but I am still undecided. What do people do about running in bad weather ( dirty, muddy tracks ) I don't want to ruin my no.1 shoes.
Should I stop running in the park over the winter.

Off road is good for you mate. Saves the legs. Shoes are supposed to be dirty.Clean ones stay in the box. Rotate pairs so you have a dry pair!

As steepler says Dale, its better to train on softer ground as it eases the strain on your legs and knees in particular. If you read Dan Robinsons posts on here he recommendeds training on grass as it prevents injury.

Steepler & ajtuna

I shall continue using the park as you advise. It makes good sense what you say about soft ground. I shall also purchase a second pair of shoes, same as my first pair.

Thanks for your helpful advise.
