Asics Patriot shoe help

Hi

I was wondering if anyone out there had any information on the Asics Patriot's i.e. whether they are neutral, support or motion control type shoes etc.

They have an SpEVA midsole and DUOmax but that's all I know as they no longer seem to be listed on the Asics website, or anywhere else on the web.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

It seems the DuoMax system is to fix over-pronation: see what Asics have to say

Come to think of it, I think the problem with my 2120s was that they provided un-needed support (in my case) for over-pronation and I think they had this DuoMax lark.

You already got a pair or were you lookin at potential buys?

Thanks for the replies.

I have just started running and have recently seen a podiatrist who has given me some orthics to try, so I know I'm probably going to need some proper structured running shoes.

I just picked up a pair of these patriot's cheaply to use until I can can properly fitted for (and afford) a better pair. I was just wondering what type of shoes these were.

I would have thought if you have orthics then you would only need neutral shoes as the orthics would do the correcting

In that case they should be fine whatever they are.

I am no expert, but yes, it should be the orthics doing the correcting

It's a very basic support shoe, should be fine as an interim shoe but not if you intend to do much mileage (i.e more than about 10-15 miles per week)
