Asics Gel Eagle Trail Shoes

Has anyone tried a pair of Asics Gel Eagle's? I'm in the market for some trail shoes and as a neutral runner they look like just what I need. I'm heading into town to my local running shop to give them a try next week.

Any other recommendations for a neutral runner?

Eagle Trail is a nice shoe and very comfortable. I wander about the Goretex upper though. Water will still get in but might not get out quick enough. You could try the Inov-8 shoes either Flyroc or Terroc - very good grip, much lighter than Trail Eagle. Alternatively Saucony Approach or Jaxx TR are pretty good.

Cascadia

If you can find a pair you could try the Brooks Cascadia.
Has a cool pivot in the midsole medial and lateral to offer support on rough ground. Great traction too!

Just like steepler says the Brooks 'Cascadia' are a great Neutral trail shoe with excellent grip and a 'pivot' in the midsole to aid forward motion over rough ground, your local dealer should be able to get a pair if he his a Brooks stockist.
