Hi Dan
Sorry not to have replied before. Computer problems!

The standard BROOKS promo event or party breaks down into three parts. Supporting the retailer, introducing BROOKS products to potentional buyers, all whilst having a bit of fun in the process.

However, and as i have been doing these events for many years, the most important thing is that we do all we can to make sure the customer goes away with the correct product EVEN IF IT IS NOT A BROOKS.

All the Staff from BROOKS that attend these days are experianced in fitting shoes, and at some promos will bring along the "DARTFISH" Gait Annalysis system to assist in the assesment for shoes. DARTFISH films you running and then you can slow this down for a detailed look at how your foot moves whilst running. Many shops now also have this or similar.

One of the most important bits is our support of the retailers. We were i think the first shoe company in the UK supporting speciliast shops in this way and i would always hope that runners support their local shop (if they have one) with their purchases. Speciliast shop are vital because they will carry a wide range of stock and will treat the customer to a high level of service. The big sport shops even if they stock certian running brands can never do that.

All this is done in a very relaxed way, and you might even get a biscuit or cake. At one promo we even had Jelly and Ice Cream! As you can see we also try to have a bit of fun as well.

Where do you live Dan?

Alex
