Cross Country
What length spike do you recommend for a standard cross country...?
I have purchased 12mm but they look very long to me. Will they be ok...?

I usually go with 12mm unless the ground is very hard (unlikley) - you should be fine.
If its really muddy it sometimes worth putting a couple of 16mm towards the front of the spike to get more grip up hills.

I usually carry 9,12 and 15mm in my bag and swap them as the conditions dictate.
Once you have screwed them in you can loose a LOT of the spike length!

12mm spiked worked great. Wish I could say the same for my legs.....
