Has anyone done the Reading Half?

I've done a 10k and I'm doing a couple of more and I think I'd like to give the half marathon a go next year.

I'm just curious whether anyone on here has done it and what they can tell me about it.

Hi there,

I did it last year, enter again this year but not sure I will make it....training never really got off the ground.

Reading was my first half and I found it a very enjoyable, well supported race with good organisation. The only downside for me was the out and back mile at the end, you come off the road, run down to the start and then back again. That really sapped me and the temptation to just skip through the bushes on the other side was almost to much!!!!
