Race for Life WSM

So I've been looking at doing a couple of Race for Life runs this year. The nearest 10k to me is in Weston, but its on the beach. Anyone got any experience of running on sand. I know it's flat and the hard stuff lol but is it gonna be harder to do?

I've ran on Weston beach numerous times, really it depends on how wet the sand is, but it'll be fun whatever.

I'm thinking of doing that one too... I can't do the Bristol one due to other commitments and anyway, it'd be nice to do events out of Bristol sometimes for a change of scenery!

My friend did the 5k one last year (first time ever as she couldn't get into Bristol one) and she found it really hard because it was unexpectedly warm and the sand was really soft and not hard/wet like she thought it would be! She did it in reasonable time but said her legs got tired quicker and fell over numerous times! She doesn't refer to it as a horrible run or anything though, just tougher than she thought. Just wanting to be honest without putting you off (I hope that's how it comes across anyway). Think you should go for it and you could do a few practice runs first to make sure
