Southend 10k classic

The conditions were difficult today with a stong headwind and rain for the first half along the sea front. After a quick loop around the block it was back for the second half which didn't feel any easier!

A runner just in front of me started to throw up as he was running with about 1 1/2 miles left which made me heave just seeing it.
poor soul.

Anyway, I got myself a new P.B. knocking 91 secs of my previous best which I set last month.

new P.B. 39:19 (according to Garmin)

I saw Dave and T.T. there too and I got the feeling that they done well.

I'm sure they will let us know in due course

Brilliant run HF.

Great to see you and TT Again.

As you said, not the best conditions for a seafront run yesterday.

I clocked myself at 45:37,which is a PB by 45 seconds. (Previous PB was set it Billericay last November.)

Look forward to seeing the Spitfire club again in a few weeks time.(That`s a fantastic group of people you have there HF.)

All the Best.

Dave.

Well done Dave and HF pb's all round.

What's all this about poor conditions - they were obviously ideal for PB performances

Well done all

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Aching today

Well done on your new p.b.'s Dave and T.T.

We've knocked almost 4.5 mins off of our previous pb's between us!

We ought to run as a team of 3 at an event one day, what do you think?

Thanks Dave, we all enjoy the social side of things, they're a good crowd.

Good Luck on Sunday Steve, which one are you doing?

It does make you wonder Rob! Some one must have turned the fan up a notch when we turned at the half way point.

Martlesham Heath 10k..near Woodbridge in Suffolk.
3 laps when I last did it a few years back but a mate has said it's now 4 laps...good for spectators that.

I've just taken a look Steve, a flat course and quite a small field, all you need is the right weather.
