I know it's short notice... the race is tomorrow... Saturday 8th Nov starts at 1.30pm

I can't run it and I have contacted the organiser to ask if I can give my place to someone else.

They said it's ok as long as the person contacts them in the morning. So my place can go to any runner... male or female.

It's a great course, mostly flat but fast and definitely PB potential.

They always have the most delicious home made cakes after the race too!!

I pushed my leg too hard at Amsterdam and it's taking some time to settle back down. And I want to be able to race on the 23rd.

I'm also not in a very good head space at the moment so CBA to race even if I was fit

Cheddar is on my doorstep as well but I am taking the misuss away for a long weekend. Somehow I don't think that she would appreciate me in the slightest if I was to slope off and do a quick ( or more likely - not so quick !!) half marathon . How come you have had to pull out?

Well I tihnk you've got more experience than pretty much all of us on the forum Trin so no doubt you're doing the right thing. Hopefully the leg eases up enough for the 23rd (I'm noticing a trend with you coming to socials with recovering leg injuries!).

Nope. I broached it and didn't get a good reaction. We have stuff she needs to do. It pays for me to be supportive sometimes.
