Cos I'm 76! Interestingly, that 5.39.83 time shattered the old British MV75 1500m record - but I was beaten into second place by some guy who simultaneously set a new European record. Proper miffed, I was. As you can imagine!
Cheers!

6:18 and it hurt. I found it difficult to set my pace, I think I went off too fast and then suffered. I would like to try it again though. I have done it a lot faster but that was when I was running in the past so don't count that

Finally done it: 8:15

I am definately built for stamina not speed. That was hard! I know I will get faster but not whilst still carrying this weight

Thats better than I managed last week, just under 10 minutes. God knows how slow I'll be when I finally get out there again...
