[From Here 2 Timbuktu]

From Here 2 Timbuktu is a small travel company specialising in festival tours to West Africa. We also organise tours to Africa which involve running marathons and 100Km races in the first week followed by a cruise / overland tour / beach holiday. We’d be very interested in feedback on the principle on these types of tours, and whether this is something that would appeal to long distance runners and their families.

We are currently organising a tour for the Marathon D’Afrique in Senegal in December which will combine the marathon and a 6 day river cruise from desert to sea on a wonderful refurbished colonial cruiser.

We also have other desert marathon tours planned in Tunisia and Namibia in March, July and October 2009.
