You don't have to raise the donation - that's not what it says...

They ask you to try to raise the equivalent amount - doing so will get you a 20% discount from your entry, otherwise you just pay the full price if you don't want to raise the sponsorship.
I don't think it's overpriced - bearing in mind they will transport all your clothing/equipment between stages, offer support etc...just my opinion - but then I am thinking of entering....

LOL. On that information I can now say I am going to enter.
