Well do you want to know how I got on ?

Anyone Anyone ? No ?

Ah well I'm telling you anyway

I did the following :-

1 mile warm up then 6x 800m reps

3:35:36
3:49:35
3:43:67
4:06:66
3:47:03
4:14:27

90 sec rest in between.

0.75m cool down and stretches.

As you can see I went out too hard in the first interval, and way too slow on the last, but I was doing these intervals blind as I could not see my time or pace, the watch was just counting down from 0.5 miles, so it was all guess work on my part.

So to be honest I'm delighted with it... plus I lost count of the number of reps and thought I had one more to do and started off on another rep and I was half way round when I noticed the timer had stopped. I had finished and didn't even know it, and had done an extra half rep

Anyway thanks to everyone for your help guidance and support.
All I need to do now is workout how I get the watch to show me how I'm getting on mid rep and workout my next interval session.

Hey Madhatter, Glad you got on ok with the interval session!

My Garmin shows two displays, distance to go at the top and pace at the bottom as in JOG, SLOW RUN, RUN. If you flick through the displays I would think you will get one like that as I didn't programme that one in especially, it just appeared.

My first interval session was a bit all over the place, but the second one was much better when I knew what to expect.

Looking to do another interval session tomorrow.

So should i stick with the 6 X 800 or change it to 1200 or less 400.
If so how many reps and what rest period ?

Thanks in advance
