Cheapest device that can show average speed?

The questions in the title really. All I need from a running watch is time, and average speed, and maybe distance covered.

I don't really want to spend more than £30, is it possible to get one this cheap? Where is the best place to get it from?

Thanks

For speed & distance the cheapest I know of is the Nike Sportsband @ £40. Same price anywhere.

BUT. It has some questions with accuracy and reliability. In my experience buying the cheapest costs more in the long run as you keep upgrading for the extra features.

The cheapest option is a stopwatch and Mapmyrun to work out your distance, but there is no satisfaction of instantly seeing your results.

Looks good, but what sort of reliability issues has it got?

Mine is less than a year old and there is moisture in the screen leaving dead pixels and it is hard to read. How much longer it will last I do not know

This is an interesting read
