Can the Garmin 405 be programmed to save data for different users, i.e., can two people use the same watch save their personal settings and record their own data for upload onto, say, MotionBased?

I had the 305 before and I don't think you could with that, although I can't honestly remember!

I dont think it can. I've got one and the menu only has settings for one person's age, weight etc

Drop Garmin an email, I have done this in the past and they usually reply with 48hours and its always been a very helpful email rather than just a script they copy and paste to everyone.
