Hi
Been running on and off for a bit 5 years.
Got down to a 31:13 for a 8K run (not bad) about 3 years ago.
Stopped running for about 2 years after that as got bored.
Got the bug again and want to get fit again and can do 8K in 35:52 and last mile in 6:22.
Whats your best times.
Doing about 25/30 miles a week at the mo and building up to a 21K race soon i hope.

Welcome to the forum Nealeo

8k isn't a normal race distance so no PB for that one, but there may be someone who has raced it.

Hi Nealeo, great avatar :d
My best 8K time is 26'20'', on a slightly downhill course.
But that was a one off... You know... The sort of day when you follow a killer pace and somehow hang on to it.
Since then, probably my best has been somewhere around 28' while doing 10K races.

I`ve only run one 5 Mile race Nealeo.

Managed 38'54".

I would like to think I could run under that now.

21k race is a half marathon I presume. Which one are you looking to do ?

I've never actually run a 5 mile (8K) race, but my 5 mile split time in the London Marathon was 30.57. My fastest recorded 5 miles was in a 10 mile race at Padgate when I passed half way in 30.35, but I'm sure I've run much faster than this during 10K races. Nowadays, I don't seem to bother with splits, my mind being totally focused on the finish line to get the job over and done with as quickly as possible.
Cheers!
