Hi everyone, I only starting running a few weeks ago and don't really know how much I should be doing by now, how fast etc. I don't actually know any runners local to me and therefore have nobody to ask. I would welcome all advice, good and bad, look forward to hearing from you and chatting, thanks, Lorraine.

Hi Lorraine! I don't know any other runners either, but I feel like I have friends to run with when I bring podcasts on my ipod to listen to on long runs. There are a bunch of good running podacasts, where tips about training, nutrition, health, etc. You can subscribe to them on itunes and for free, they are updated every time you log on. Three really good ones are:

Burning 20 www.burningtwenty.com

Hi there Drusy, thanks a lot for that, will give it a try, have you been running long? I am doing the Sport Relief mile this Saturday, think that's all I'm capable of at the moment.
