I have just recently had an arthroscopy on my right ankle. This involved resecting some unstable cartlidge and removing some loose bone. I would be interested if any other runners have had similar operations and if so how quick they returned to running and if any improvements were made. My operation was 2 weeks ago and I can walk on it with no pain but have been told not to run for 6-8 weeks even though I feel I could run now. Before the op. after a run (especially next day) I struggled to walk for the first 10 minutes or so. I will not know if it was a success till I return to running but it feels good at the moment.
