I've been running for a while now. A couple of weeks ago, I did my usual evening run followed by my stretches. The next day after a meeting at work (which I sit down) the back of my left knee felt really tight and painful. I've now found that if I sit with my knee straight, then its ok. I rested for a few days last week, and started this running again this week and it seemed ok until tonight. Any ideas?

no great help from me I'm afraid, I've had a knee problem for a few weeks now and it got a lot better after resting (no running) for 3 weeks though taking other forms of low impact exercise. back to doing 5k runs and slowly building up the distance to see what happens, keeping my fingers crossed as I want to do a 1/2 in october. Hope you get on the road to recovery soon.

It doesn't sound to great have you been to see your GP?
