Fila no good for running

Asics ones on there Runtime are badminton shoes...

I definately would not recommend any of them, shorts are shorts whatever you feel comfortable in but SHOES are a thing to be advised on from a specialist running shop.

I have flat feet and when i run i over pronate, so my shoe is built for flat feet with supported arches for my foot type and running style.

You will be giving yourself injury if you got them shoes online from ebay

The Asics Gel 1110 is a running shoe according to Asics and Runners World.

Asics Gel-1110 - Product Reviews - Runner's World

I run London Marathon in Fila Racer (red one)
And even though I got really tired I managed 2:24 without too much pain.

I just wondered if anyone knows how much different the Fila Racer is to the Asics or Fila Temptation.

I have been told that I run neutral (whatever that is)

You run a marathon in 2:24 but you know nothing about running?

Sorry Rob, I think you confuse Running Knowledge with Running Product Knowledge.

When it comes to training I know what to do. I much prefer running to shopping.

By the way 2:24 would just get me into my national team for the women back home, so I am just a happy amateur with not too much money available to spend on the latest running shoe.

I would be surprised if any of the top 10 finishers in London Marathon knew that much about the latest shoe.

You won the London Marathon (winning time was 2:24 for women elite) but would just get into your national team?

Where did you come in Beijing?

In another post you know all about pronation and biomechanical aspects of running, so which is it?

Runtime is female and runs 2:24 marathon? Why isn't she an Olympian? How can you not know about footwear when you clearly run a hell of a lot of miles. If you really run that fast, and do the 100+ miles a week required, I would just stick to the shoes you are already using. They clearly work for you ;)

Yes but I am a man so why would I run in the womens race??? I was only mentioning that back home 2:24 is an Elite womens time, but if youre a man it is quite mediocre.

But you should know that Mr knowitall

Now go out for an run instead of studuing shoes and runners watches

Who said I am a women? If I was, I would probably still be in Beijing

I am a man and 2:24 is hardly worth making noise over, I was merely wondering if anyone knew anything about the shoes on sale on Ebay, please turn your sarcastic comments into fuel for your next run instead

This thread seems to have gotten a bit hostile

2.24 is a pretty good time whether male or female me thinks. So I'd just be tempted to stick what you are using already.

Well you did say that your time would get you into the Elite womens team so I can understand the confusion.

Anyway sounds like you're best staying with the shoes you have seeing as you can long distances in them

You come 35th in one of the world's biggest Marathons and it's hardly worth making a noise over and describe yourself as an average club runner, and say you can't afford proper shoes, is it any wonder there's a smell of tinned meat with the links to all the ebay stuff?

I do apologise. I am confident that with proper running shoes and a decent coach, together with some intensive training, you are going to be a world beater. I can see a sub 2 hour marathon being run for the first time, in fact. You really underestimate yourself if you think you are an average club runner.

Humblest apologies and good luck - I will watch out for you. I am sure if you approach a running shoe manufacturer they would be happy to provide you with some top of the range running shoes, and perhaps even some shorts - am sure they would be happy to do some kind of sponsorship deal, as you have masses of potential.

I bet you are Kenyan - let us know your name, as I think with the correct training regime you are going to be better known than Paul Tergat :)

All the best :)
