I am entered for the Madrid half marathon on 26th April and after reading that Barcelona, Paris and Rome had cancelled or postponed their races, I was a little worried that Madrid would be following suit. I emailed the organisers to ask them if they were planning to cancel the race and I received tis reply.
Hi Steven,

From the organization there is no intention to cancel the event and we will continue working normally and as planned.
Our commitment to the participants is to coordinate with the health authorities and keep you informed of any changes that may happen.

While I am hopeful that the race will go ahead, I would not want it to be at the cost of someone's health.
I had a couple of races cancelled last year due to flooding and a lot of training went to waste.
