time was just over 53 mins

was quite pleased though, i've only been running a couple of months and was my first race - onwards and upwards from here! loved the buzz of the race, really helped spur me on!

What`s next then.

Don`t leave it too long after you have made such a good start.

hoping to do a 10k trail race this Sunday - also planning to do the Great Scottish Run half marathon in Glasgow on 2nd Sept.

I'm working through an interactive training plan on nikerunning.com, it's pretty helpful

any advice on how to keep motivation levels high?

Keep entering races is one of the best ways to keep motivated and you are doing that.

Best thing to do is join a club so you can train with runners of slightly faster pace.
