Good evening

I'm Nat and I live in North Wales. I'm onto week 2 of my training plan ( if you can call it one) and I'm currently running for 2.5 mins and walking for 1 and doing that for 18 mins in total every other day.

Still praying my legs will stop hurting when I run one day

Welcome.

Just a thought from a fellow Newbie.

When I started I walked for 30 min. I then added a 1 min walk/run and built it up as you are doing. If I feel my legs hurting to much I slow down or run less or take a rest day but I still walk for 30 mins before I run.

I have still surprised myself at how fast I have improved.

Hi Smiler and welcome! Sounds like your sensible my first out door run was 8 miles straight off in old shoes ended up with stress fractures and didn't rest them had a job to walk for almost a month! Wish we we're all as sensible in building up to these things as you are!

Thanks everyone for your replies. I know I need to build it up gently but can't wait to be able to run with ease and feel proud of my achievement.
