Hi

Just beginning to embark on a training regime, and I'm all too aware that diet can have a huge effect on how successful this can be.

Generally speaking, I’m rather sensitive to some carbohydrates – bread in particular. I respond well to simple diets, avoiding fried foods and fats, and emphasising the “meat and two veg” ideal. Fish works well, particularly tuna, accompanied with salads.

No, I’m not just hungry ;) but wanted other people’s opinion on the above, metabolisms, and generally foods to emphasise when on a regime of getting fit, and losing weight.

Breakfast is stressed as being very important, as are frequent but light meals. Nothing after 8pm, at the latest.

Would anyone care to comment?

I try to eat healthy. Fruit, veg etc. don't forget the fluids. If you are training you need to be carefull not to get dehydrated.
