I do same weight training twice per week to complement my 5k training. I always train the same: 30 minutes that include Squats and upper body exercises, always same weight, I just try to do a strong effort that puts me to the test!. Do I find it boring?: NO!, I love doing this, but....I keep thinking...Should I cycle my weight training as I do with my 5k training? Such as do fewer reps and weights at the beginning of the 5k training then increase as I reach race day?

What do you recommend?
I'd really appreciate to get opinions. Thanks in advance!
