I've read that running 3-5 miles a day has you live 4-6 years longer.

Anyone know of the validity of this research?

Any elderly runners on this board finding this to be the case?

I am 64 and have been running on and off for 35 years. I have had two seperate cancer surgeries and the chemotherapy that follows them. I feel the mental and physical strength I g got from marathon running, was a big help in my recovery in both cases.

Older runners? You mean those that aren't dead yet? Works for them.
There was a Swiss study showing that 20 minutes running a day reduced CAV risks by 26 %.
