I went to my first ever running club session (Ryston Runners AC) on Thursday. I was made to feel very welcome and I'm keen to become a fully paid up member. I'd recommend joining a running club to any runner, from the limited experience I have. They seem to cater for all abilities and are a friendly bunch. I would imagine this is normal for all running clubs. Also the added benefit of meeting poeple from the local area.

Don't train alone, join a club!;)

I had the same experience when I joined my running club. I really enjoy going to the club and also arrange additional runs with other members when I can manage it.

When I joined, 5km was the limit of my running ability - and I happened to go for the first time on the night of their monthly 5km time trial. Needless to say, I was knacked but my running has improved immensely since then.
