My club have just put on their annual 10k race and I was asked to be a marshall.
What a great day. I enjoyed the whole experience and even got my wife to help out....
Looking forward to doing again next year....

Glad you enjoyed the experience.

I'm sure it has been said elsewhere but without marshalls races can't go ahead so good for you.....and the missus!

200 up I see!

Hi Steve

Yes 200 posts for me... But I have a long way to go to catch you up....
Maybe, but one day......you never know I might take my eye off the ball!

Why the name "Dale the Snail"? Your times are pretty decent if you ask me.

I marshalled my first race a couple of weeks ago as well. Once I got used to shouting random words of encouragement at complete strangers it was great.

Dale the Snail is a name that was given to me by a friend at work when I first started running.
A 5k charity event which I did just over a year ago, stopped three times and was convinced I would never walk properly again...!
