Hello, am due to join the military soon, I used to be able to run 2.4km in around 10:16 but recently I have been feeling so sluggish and have no idea why? Can anyone offer some advice

I assume you are in your teens if you are joining the military?
If so, 1) your recent bone growth will have happened at a much faster rate than your muscles and tendons. It takes time for them to catch up and 2) you are not running for long enough to develop your aerobic energy system, which you did not use when you were younger.

Increase the time you run for each week. Longer and fewer is better than shorter and more frequest. Run slow enough so you do not get out of breath.
