Hello,
I'm new to the forum, just wanted to say hi.
I used to play a lot of football but retired due to aching knees and ankles.
I took up cycling a couple of years ago which I love but only when the weather is nice and warm hence I don't tend to cycle in the winter.
I took up running just after crimbo, not going far, about a 1 and a half miles to start with but have kept increasing the loop a bit at a time. and trying to beat my previous time every time I go out. I'm 45 this year so I'm not going to tear any trees up I know but any advice about increasing the length of my run or getting my time lower will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :d

Welcome.
I started running regularly after giving up being kicked around the park on Sunday mornings some dozen or so years ago.

The main thing is that you need to be patient and let your body adjust to running....longer runs and faster times will come as long as you build up slowly.

You must get proper running shoes...go to a running shop for a gait analysis.
