Welcome to RF Dan.

It's very easy to be a stop/start runner so joining us should help you get out there more often and keep you from adding lard to that extra stone!!

Good luck.

Hi Dan, welcome to the site. Yes, an event would be good. I did my first 10k recently and have already entered a second. I'm also going to go to the next Runners Forum social which is currently being organised.

Hi Dan

Welcome to RF

Like the others have said enter a race, this will really keep you out there and the sense of of achievement will be fantastic.

Also post your mileage on the "Perth to Sydney" thread and help us get there quicker.

Stick at it.

TT :d

Hello and welcome. Had to laugh yesterday when this chap in a skeleton suit rolled into the stadium - I clapped him and shouted something, and he turned round and told me he was 18 stone when he started the race. Hope your running weight loss isn't THAT drastic :d

Hi The other guys are right entering a race will help keep you motivated. If you do it for charity you will double the effect. Have a look at Comrades of Children Overseas COCO

I am going to start entering races in the next few weeks.
My wife starts maternity leave next week so my days off will be free(ish).
