Just wanted to say Hi. I've joined the forum today and I am already picking up loads of tips.

I have been running on and off for a few years though my training goes in fits and starts and I find that often I have gaps of months where I dont do any running at all.

I have set a personal goal of doing a half marathon in the next 6 months and a full marathon in 12.

I am running 4 - 5 miles at the momeny with a pace of 10:30-11:00 minutes per mile.

I really should join a club but my work means I often work long hours and travel, so being able to attend a fixed session is very difficult.

It would be really good to get some running buddies as I think it would help me both on my pace and my frequency of running.

You'll find plenty of support here as you will have seen already.
The best and most enjoyable way to improve is to run with others...it's all too easy to amble along otherwise. You could contact a local club and find out if there are members who would run with you out of normal club hours so to speak.
